What the report contains
| Cover and score | A screenshot of your homepage, a health score, and the count of critical, high and lower-priority findings. |
|---|---|
| Findings by severity | Every issue we measured, ranked, each with the specific pages affected and a plain explanation of why it matters. |
| Indexability | HTTPS and its redirect, robots.txt, XML sitemap and lastmod, 404 handling, canonical tags, noindex directives, caching and compression. |
| On-page and content | Titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, word counts, image alt text and internal linking, page by page. |
| Are these pages in Google? | The part other audits skip: we query Google for each crawled URL and tell you which are indexed right now, and what the absences usually mean. |
| What to do, in order | A prioritised list, most important first, and what to expect over the next thirty days. |
What it isn't
This is a technical audit, not a strategy document. It will not tell you which keywords to target, it does not measure backlinks, and no audit can promise rankings. It checks whether search engines can reach, read and store your pages, which is the part that has to work before anything else can. Every finding is measured on your live site at the moment you request it, never estimated.
Why we give it away
The checks cost us a few pennies to run, and the report tends to end in one of two places: your pages are fine and you needed to know that, or some of them are not in Google and you needed to know that more. The second case is what our paid service fixes. We would rather show you the measurement first. If you would like to check individual URLs without waiting for a report, the free index checker answers in seconds, and the keyword ideas tool is free too.
